PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sharply shorten time waiting for the display of an image on a screen by executing initial rastering operation by using only polygon and texture size data and loading only pattern data necessary for rendering an image necessary for final display. SOLUTION: In the rendering device 100, a rendering engine 120 executes a rendering program 122 and executes rendering operation in accordance with three-dimensional graphic data. The device 100 includes a pixel/depth buffer 124 and a reference buffer 126. During the execution of respective rendering operation by the engine 120, the buffer 124 is functioned as a depth buffer at first, and then functioned as a pixel buffer. The buffer 126 stores intermediate results generated by texture calculation. |
