<p>The propeller has a shaft (2) supported by rear and front main bearings (5, 4), and an axial flow impeller (3) mounted at an end of the shaft located from a side of the bearing (5). Driving units e.g. electric motor (1), drive the shaft between the bearings, where the rear bearing is a low speed hydrostatic, biconical or lemon-shaped smooth bearing and the front bearing is a smooth ball bearing. Chambers are formed in stops against faces of the shaft. The bearings are fixed to a structure (6) of a propulsion nacelle of a ship.</p> |
