<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the polarity of the output current of an inverter or the like just by adding a simple circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A switch with a current polarity determiner includes: a reverse conduction switch comprised of a switching element capable of switching current in a single direction and a back flow diode connected in inverse-parallel with the switching element; and a reverse conduction switch current polarity determiner that detects the potential difference between both ends thereof via the diode and determines the polarity of current passed through the reverse conduction switch by the magnitude relationship between the potential difference and a predetermined value. Thus an accurate result of current polarity determination can be inexpensively obtained using the reverse conduction switch current polarity determiner or a bidirectional switch current polarity determiner without use of an accurate current detector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
