The burin (6) has a rod (64) mounted in a slotted locking bush (7) with selective rotation and replacement possibility. A neck (62) is located in the direct continuity near the rod. The locking bush is replaceably inserted in a cylindrical housing (16) of a support (11) fixed in a milling drum (2) or milling disk. The rod has a step whose diameter is less than that of a region of the rod, where the region is covered by the locking bush. A peripheral groove is provided in the step for receiving a slotted elastic ring (9). An independent claim is also included for a system for fixing a burin to a milling machine.
