<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cleansing agent which efficiently leaves silicone on hair damaged by a chemical treatment so as to impart smoothness to the hair at rinsing and after drying, foams well and undergoes little yellowing during storage. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The aqueous hair cleansing agent comprises (A) an anionic surfactant, (B) a branched polyglycerol-modified silicone, (C) polydimethylsiloxane and water, provided that the mass ratio of component (B) to component (C) is from 1/20 to 20/1.
