<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print color prediction method and a prediction system capable of easily and quickly coping with the change of a print condition and precisely predicting the color of the printed matter. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a profile preparation device 24, a difference amount between the reference density spectral reflectance of a color chart C1 printed by a reference density according to a first print condition and the changed density spectral reflectance of the color chart C1 printed by changing only the density of a color among C, M, Y, and K for only a prescribed amount is obtained. Also, the reference density spectral reflectance of the color chart C1 printed at the reference density according to a second print condition is obtained. A print prediction profile 20 capable of obtaining desired target density is prepared by using the reference density spectral reflectance under the second print condition and the difference amount.
