PURPOSE: A dual band infrared optical apparatus is provided to simultaneously search an image in two bandwidths, a middle infrared bandwidth and far-infrared bandwidth, with one drive head. CONSTITUTION: A dual band infra-red system comprises a dual band infrared transmission part(110), a flux partition section(120), a middle infrared detection unit(130), and a far infrared ray detection unit(140). The dual band infrared transmission part transmits a dual band infrared ray. The flux partition section partitions the dual band infrared ray into a middle infrared ray and an infrared ray. The middle infrared detection unit detects the middle infrared light. The far infrared ray detection unit detects the infrared ray.
