<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas diffusion layer for a solid polymer fuel cell which is uniform and superior in water repellency without applying a calcining treatment at a high temperature, and capable of suppressing cell resistance when used for a fuel cell, and suppressing lowering of cell potential. <P>SOLUTION: In this gas diffusion layer for the solid polymer fuel cell, a surface of the gas diffusion layer is surface-modified with molecular chains each having a hydrophobic functional group, and the molecular chains are formed by graft treatment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
