PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for mounting a cable protective material on a cable in a conduit without exerting effects on an existing cable, in a system for controlling the quality of a cable accommodation conduit.

SOLUTION: The cable protective material mounting method in the conduit 2 having a cable 4 accommodated therein includes steps of: inserting the cable protective material 20 through the opening of the conduit 2 over the cable 4 to be protected; and enclosing the cable 4 in the cable protective material 20. The step of enclosing the cable 4 in the cable protective material 20 includes a step of enclosing the cable 4 by pulling in the conduit 2 along the cable 4 to be protected, a cable protective material mounting jib 22 having a fitting means 24 for fitting a fitting part 10d, and a part 10c to be fitted each provided to the cable protective material 20 for being fitted with each other.
