<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain, in an A/D conversion apparatus 21, dynamic range characteristics equal to a high dynamic range A/D converter by using a plurality of inexpensive low dynamic range A/D converters. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A distribution means 8 distributes an analog signal, that becomes a conversion target, into a plurality of predetermined signals and in each signal processing system, the distributed signals are attenuated by attenuation means 9, 13 with a predetermined scale factor. A/D conversion means 10, 14 convert the attenuated signals into digital signals and multiplication means 12, 15 multiply the digital signals by a predetermined multiplication coefficient. An addition means 16 adds multiplication results. An overflow determination means 11 determines whether or not overflow occurs regarding the A/D conversion means having a higher attenuated signal level, and a multiplication coefficient setting means 11 sets the multiplication coefficient used for the multiplication means of the signal processing system in the A/D conversion means, where overflow occurs, to 0.
