<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decoration body mounting structure capable of simplifying the work for mounting a decoration body, mounting the peripheral fringe of the decoration body by separating it from an internal wall, and increasing a degree of freedom in arrange layout of the decoration body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Each of supporting plates 3 includes two projecting members 4 at a predetermined interval Q fixed in advance, and the decoration body 1A is large enough to cover and hide at least one supporting plate 3 and is provided with a plurality of recessed members 5 engageable with the projecting members 4 to be inserted and engaged and disengaged at the predetermined interval Q. The supporting plates 3 are mounted on the internal wall 2 of a building with wood screws 6, and the recessed member 5 of the decoration body 1A is inserted and engaged into/with the projecting member 4 of the supporting plate 3 to mount the decoration body 1A on the internal wall 2 while the supporting plate 3 is hidden and the whole peripheral fringe part of the decoration body 1A is separated from the internal wall 2.
