<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for correction capable of reducing the number of correction value tables. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for correction includes: printing a test pattern constituted by arranging a plurality of pixel lines in which a plurality of pixels are arranged in a specified direction in a direction intersecting the specified direction on a certain kind of a medium; reading the test pattern printed on the certain kind of the medium by a reading part; obtaining correction values of the concentration on every pixel lines from the reading result of the test pattern, and preparing the correction value tables in which respective pixel lines correspond with respective correction values; and adjusting that when printing is performed on a medium of a printing object of a different kind from the certain kind, dot sizes of dots formed by performing the corrections on every pixel line by using the correction value tables, are made to approach the dot sizes when the test pattern is printed on the certain kind of medium.
