PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed apparatus highly efficiently performing perpendicular positioning with respect to the body axis of a subject and having a drive section facilitating a response to an existing apparatus, and to provide an X-ray CT apparatus. SOLUTION: This bed apparatus includes: a top board 41 where a subject P is placed; a bed 50 vertically and longitudinally movably supporting the top board 41; and a bed support base 60 disposed in the lower side of the bed 50 and having a width-movement drive section 61 supporting the bed 50 to move the top board 41 in the width direction. The width-movement drive section 61 converts the rotating drive force from a motor 611, or the drive source for moving the bed 50, into linear drive force in the width direction of the top board 41 and transmits it to the bed 50 by a transmission means disposed in a vicinity in the longitudinal direction of the top board 41 with respect to the motor 611.
