<p>An emergency call method and a communication terminal are provided. The emergency call method comprises the following steps: receiving a call request of inputted number (100); determining whether the inputted number is an emergency number (101); if so (108), obtaining local region information via network (102); obtaining the local emergency number corresponding to the inputted number by the region information (103); calling the local emergency number (104). Adopting the technical solution enables user to call for help with his familiar emergency number when in emergency, while the emergency number of the strange region or country is not necessary to be known, when he moves to various regions or countries.</p> |
