808,451. Semi-conductor devices. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Sept. 27, 1956 [Sept. 30, 1955], No. 29559/56. Class 37. A monocrystalline semiconductor device such as a diode, has a current supply wire connected between a terminal and an electrode secured to the body, which has approximately the same resistance as the semi-conductor body. In the Figure, a germanium crystal 1 is soldered to a gilt plate of molybdenum 3 and carries an indium alloy electrode 10. The wire 11 may consist of 20 per cent chromium and 80 per cent nickel and has the same resistance as the forward resistance through crystal 1. |
