The device has a bus bar piece and a plate spring for connecting an electrical conductor. The plate spring has a clamping leg whose end is inserted into the passage to form a clamping point with an inner wall of the collar with a transverse edge protruding against the conductor. The device has a bus bar piece (10) and a plate spring for connecting an electrical conductor. The bus bar piece is made of flat material and has a conductor plug-through opening in the form of a four-cornered material passage (11) with a hole collar (13) extending in the plugging direction. The plate spring has a clamping leg (20) whose end is inserted into the passage so that it forms a clamping point with an inner wall (15) of the collar with a transverse edge (22) protruding against the conductor.
