Disclosed is a DNA construct comprising a polynucleotide which comprises: (i) the sequence of SEQ ID NO:136 operably linked in a sense or an antisense orientation to a promoter; or (ii) a sequence that encodes the protein sequence of SEQ ID NO:396, operably linked in sense or antisense orientation to a promoter, wherein the promoter in (i) or (ii) is selected from the group consisting of: (a) a constitutive promoter; (b) an inducible promoter; (c) a regulatable promoter; (d) a temporally regulated promoter, and (e) a tissue-preferred promoter. The construct can be used to transform a plant and modify its phenotype.
