PURPOSE: A portable terminal with intelligence development function and a service providing method thereof are provided to offer intelligence development application service until a subscriber selects a call when there is a call request, thereby offering intelligence development or learning effect. CONSTITUTION: A network interface unit(150) is connected with a mobile radio communications network. According to selection of a subscriber, a keypad unit(140) provides input information. A central control unit(180) sets a phone mode to a first phone mode or a second phone mode according to the input information and receives a call request through the network interface unit. If the phone mode is the second phone mode, the central control unit activates an intelligence development application program in order to provide an application service. If the subscriber satisfies the condition, the central control unit performs call setting about the call request.
