<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starfish repellent using a compound having degradability under a marine environment. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The starfish repellent is discovered by virtue of homarine, β-cholestanol, cholesterol, L-phenylalanine or a thymine compound alone or a plurality of their combinations.
