<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device in which an abnormal high voltage is hardly applied to the safety coil of a safety relay even if a power supply source fails. <P>SOLUTION: This safety device of an elevator includes a transistor 63 for driving the safety coil 61L through the contacts 21a, 23a, 25a, 27a of the safety switch for running the car of the elevator, a current detector 55 for generating a current detection signal by detecting a current flowing through the safety coil, and in an output from a power source, a PWM chopper circuit 53 for controlling the current flowing in the safety coil in such a manner that the current detection signal matches a current instruction signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
