<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a structure for a railroad car by friction stir joining that alleviates the time and labor of work. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the structure for the railroad car by friction stir joining includes the steps of: butting the jointed portions of jointed edge surfaces 11m, 11n, 12m, 12n, respectively consisting of inclined edge surfaces with two of first face plates 11 and two of second face plates 12; fixing a double skin panel 10 over the total length of both the first face plates 11 and second face plates 12 so that no gap P occurs, with a load applied in the width direction; pressing down their overlapped portion by sandwiching it with a pair of rotating bodies 151, 152 of a friction stir joining tool 150; and joining the overlapped portion by friction-stirring of a stirring shaft 153 that moves in the longitudinal direction while rotating.
