The invention relates to a composition comprising at least a polymer which comprises a repeating unit represented by formula (1), a discotic compound and a pigment. In the formula, each of L1, L2, L3 and L4 independently represents a divalent linking group; X represents an (n+2)-valent linking group; R1 represents a substituted or non-substituted, alkyl group, alkenyl group, alkynyl group, aryl group, aralkyl group, or hetero ring residue; n represents an integer from 1 to 4, and n (L4)s and n (R1)s may be same with or different from each other; and MG represents a mesogen group.
