<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion apparatus, with high efficiency in power conversion, which supplies the power of desired voltage to an output end regardless of a voltage level of the power outputted from an AC generator. <P>SOLUTION: The power converter includes a direct type power converter 4, a DC/DC converter 6, an inverter 7, switches SW1-SW5, and a control part C; the control part C, with the switches SW1-SW5 being switched to the first switching state, controls the direct type power converter 4 to perform AC/AC conversion, allowing an AC power whose voltage is higher than a set voltage to be outputted from an output end 5; the converter further controls, with the switches SW1-SW5 which are switched to the second switching state, the direct type power converter 4 to perform AC/DC conversion, the DC/DC converter 6 to perform voltage conversion, and the inverter 7 to perform DC/AC conversion; and thus an AC power whose voltage is equal to the set voltage or lower is made to be output from the output end 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
