PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition is provided to prevent or treat diseases caused by angiogenesis using a compound having an activity of suppressing angiogenesis. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating diseases caused by angiogenesis contains a compound of chemical formula 1 as an active ingredient. The composition further contains a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or excipient. In chemical formula 1, A is 'substituted or unsubstituted' phenyl, tolyl, naphthyl, anthryl, fluorenyl, pyridyl, pyrrole, quinoline, furan, thiophene, benzo thiophene or benzofuran. The substitution group is straight or branched alkyl group of C1-C20, alkoxy of C1-C20, cycloalkyl group of C5-c7, halogen group or acyl group. The diseases caused by angiogenesis include rheumatoid arthritis, degenerative arthritis, and septic arthritis.
