<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus and method having high efficiency of working, by using system resources efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: In the case wherein the other image processing to be performed prior to one image processing is accepted when the image processing apparatus is performing one image processing if a residual area obtained by removing the working area assigned for one image processing from a whole working area is smaller than the working area required for the other image processing, the image processing apparatus has an assignment releasing means for releasing the assignment of the working area for one image processing and an image processing means for performing the other image processing in a residual working area after releasing the assignment of the working area by the assignment releasing means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
