PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair having a structure for vertically connecting a back support rod by strong and secure positioning. SOLUTION: The chair 100 in which the back support rod 51 is supported by a support base portion 2 is characterized in that the back support rod 51 has a lower back frame 51b in which a proximal end portion 51b4 is attached to the support base portion 2 and an upper back frame 51a coupled to the distal end portion of the lower base frame 51b via a connecting portion 51c, wherein the connecting 51c is provided with a final fitting element X such that the fitting degree in the connection completion step becomes closer compared to the fitting degree in the connection initial step.
