<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable concentrated disposal of radioisotope (RI) waste by developing a large-capacity repository through the development of a disposal site other than a ground surface layer in order to solve such a situation that it is difficult to secure several repositories in the ground surface layer in Japan though the long-term safe disposal of the RI waste which is low-level radioactive waste in terms of radiation radioactivity levels requires places isolated from any living environments and out of contact with any water resources. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A repository is developed under an inshore seabed to dispose of the RI waste, which enables the long-term safe disposal of the RI waste, radioactive waste generated from facilities using RIs such as universities, business enterprises and hospitals.
