PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner including an air filter automatic cleaning function, for reducing labor-hour for disposing of dust by increasing the amount of dust received in a dust box by smoothly compressing the dust removed from the air filter and received in the dust box without leaking the same from the dust box. SOLUTION: The air conditioner includes the dust box 71 receiving the dust removed from the air filter 21, the dust box 71 includes a dust inlet 80 and a dust receiving section 81 for receiving the dust charged from the dust inlet 80, and a compression rod 86 is rotatably supported at the dust inlet 80 or its neighborhood, so that the dust is received in the dust receiving section 81 in a compressed state by rotating and driving the compression rod 86.
