<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of recovering cobalt by which both of the high recovery of cobalt and the high efficient removal of impurities are attained and the cost is reduced by using a general purpose chemical or the like in the recovery of cobalt from a lithium secondary battery waste material containing cobalt with at least one kind of impurities of aluminum and iron. <P>SOLUTION: The recovery of cobalt and the removal of the impurities from a solution containing cobalt and at least one kind of aluminum and iron as impurities such as a cobalt-containing solution obtained by exuding a lithium secondary battery waste material are efficiently performed by oxidizing the solution with the addition or the like of aqueous hydrogen peroxide, adjusting pH to 4.0-5.5 with the addition or the like of caustic soda, aging at 30-90°C for 120-480 min and solid-liquid-separating. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
