<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for crystallizing persimmon bloom as white powder composed mainly of glucose crystal deposited on the surface of dried persimmons. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes the following process: dried persimmons either frozen or at room temperature with bloom deposited on the surfaces are soaked in 40-50°C hot water for 3 min, wherein 1 l of the hot water is used based on 1 kg of the dried persimmons. The resultant solution is kept at 40-50°C to dissolve the bloom in the hot water, and then boiled down under a low flame for about 3 h until the saccharinity comes to 80 degree. The solution thus thickened is passed through a 2 mm-mesh filter. In this case, the thickened solution is cast on a vat or mold and left at rest at room temperature to form bloom crystal. The fruit part of the dried persimmons with the bloom washed off may be used as a raw material for making any processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
