<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suggest a plurality of design shapes resulting in high performance and to provided a hint for considering a new base shape to a designer in a multiobjective optimization design support technology used in designing a slider shape etc. of a hard disk. <P>SOLUTION: Design parameter sets that interpolate between respective adjacent design parameter sets in an optimal design parameter set candidate are calculated as interpolating design parameter sets; for each of the calculated interpolating design parameter sets, a plurality of objective functions are approximated using a plurality of objective function approximating equations, and an interpolating design parameter set corresponding to a non-dominated solution is selected as an optimal interpolating design parameter set and is integrated with the optimal design parameter candidate to make them as a new optimal design parameter candidate; and similar interpolation processing is repeated for the new optimal design parameter set candidate while determining a parameter distance between respective design parameter sets constituting the new optimal design parameter set candidate.
