<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage and control locking of a locked object such as a desk or a cabinet using a computer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a locking management system, a computer 14 connected to a communication network 12 comprises a data table 18 recording identification numbers and passwords of locked objects 16 used by users for every one of users Pa, Pb, Pc, etc. The computer collates the ID and password input by the user, with the table and permits unlocking of the locked object when it is right. The computer temporarily permits unlocking of the locked object with the passwords of the other users Pb, Pc, etc. with unlocking permission communication from the user Pa of the locked object, and records which user's password is used for unlocking.
