<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent chucking error and drop of a recording medium, which may occur in loading/unloading the recording medium under strong vibrations such as in travelling on a rough road. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The in-vehicle device includes: a vibration detecting part 2 to detect vibration; and a control part 3 that receives a request to load/unload the recording medium (CD 10) from the outside, and prohibits execution of the loading/unloading request when the magnitude of the vibration detected by the vibration detecting part 2 exceeds a predetermined value.
