PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle detector capable of solving the problem that there is a case that a vehicle cannot be detected depending on the shape of the bottom part of the parked vehicle and securing stable vehicle detection performance at a low cost. SOLUTION: A transmission coil 22 disposed inside a parking area PA and a magnetic detection element 23 having three detection axes 23X, 23Y and 23Z orthogonal and close to each other at a position separated from the transmission coil 22 are disposed in the state at a fixed distance. The transmission coil 22 is oscillated by the AC of a fixed frequency, only the fixed frequency components of magnetic signals detected in the magnetic detection element 23 having the three detection axes 23X, 23Y and 23Z are extracted, and by the change of the direction of a vector for which the fixed frequency components extracted for each of the three detection axes 23X, 23Y and 23Z are synthesized and the size of the vector, the presence/the absence of the parked vehicle CR is determined.
