PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a male snap fastener that can be formed of one metallic sheet, that can be made compact in a radial direction, and that has no need of separately adding a part to receive a portion of a mounting member. SOLUTION: The male snap fastener (10, 10') is formed of the one metallic sheet by drawing so that it includes a double structured base part (11) including an upper base part (11a) and a lower base part (11b), a single-sheet-structured projecting part (12) which protrudes upward from the base part (11) and which is received by a female snap fastener (20) side, and a locking part (13, 13') that extends from the tip end of the projecting part (12) to be bulged to the outside radially. The upper base part (11a) extends from the base end of the projecting part (12) inward in the radial direction to receive the caulked part (33) of a mounting member (30) when the male snap fastener (10, 10') is mounted on a fabric (1). The lower base part (11b) extends from the inner end in the radial direction of the lower base part (11a) to the outer side in the radial direction while being inverted downward, and is brought into contact with the fabric (1) when being mounted.
