<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture system and culture vessel for seeds of infaunal bivalves, stably usable in all sea areas, enabling easy maintenance and producible at low cost. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An upper opening of a vessel for holding a substrate is closed with a freely detachable lid having an opening corresponding to about 15-30% of the total opening area, and the vessel is made of a material having a water permeability of a level to keep the substrate held in the vessel.
