<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field-winding synchronous machine reduced in vibration and noise associated with the rotation of the synchronous machine rotor, in the field-winding synchronous machine which allows a pulse-like armature current to flow to an armature winding, causing the armature current to induce and supply a field current to the field winding of the rotor. <P>SOLUTION: The field-winding synchronous machine includes: a stator 1 wound with the armature winding 3; the rotor 4 wound with the field winding 6 and rotating while facing the stator 1; an inverter 20 allowing an armature current fundamental wave component, to the armature winding 3, corresponding to the synchronous current which forms a rotary field rotating at an electric angle rotation frequency coinciding with the rotation frequency of the rotor 4; and a diode 12 fixed to the rotor 4 and connected in series to the field winding 6 for regulating, in one direction, the induced AC current induced to the field winding 6 by the armature current flowing into the armature winding 3. Furthermore, the inverter 20 supplies, to the armature winding 3, a rotor excitation current with a waveform different from that of the synchronous current, only for a predetermined period longer than the period corresponding to one cycle of the primary natural frequency of the stator 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
