PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate the position of a magnetic pole even if a current flowing to a synchronous motor increases.
SOLUTION: A drive system is equipped with: a power converter 2 which supplies the synchronous motor 1 with AC power; a controller 100 which controls its rotation into the target value by transmitting a control signal to the power converter 2; and a current detecting means 3 which detects the current of the motor. The controller 100 is equipped with: a high frequency signal generating means 13, which generates a high frequency signal synchronized with the current of the motor; control signal generating means 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 14, which generate control signals that are modulated by using the high frequency signal; high frequency current extracting means 13 and 505, which extract high frequency currents from the current that is detected in the motor by the current detecting means 3; and magnetic pole position estimating means 5, 6, and 7, which estimate the position of the magnetic pole in the synchronous motor, using the high frequency extracted current extracted with the high frequency current extracting means. The phase of the high frequency signal shifts in synchronism with the rotating angle of the rotor in the synchronous motor, according to the load torque of the synchronous motor.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
