PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal-containing, cross-linked amphoteric copolymer which exhibits an excellent deodorizing property and can be used as a solid deodorizer, to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide a deodorizer comprising the metal-containing, cross-linked amphoteric copolymer. SOLUTION: There is provided the metal-containing cross-linked amphoteric copolymer prepared by reacting an amphoteric copolymer having cationic units and anionic units with a cross-linking agent, and a metal ion.
