<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt-based composite oxide powder for a lithium secondary battery positive electrode material capable of achieving a balance among cost reduction, enhancement of high-voltage resistance, increase of safety and battery performance improvement, in use for a lithium secondary battery positive electrode material. <P>SOLUTION: This lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt-based composite oxide powder for a lithium secondary battery positive electrode material is formed by including a crystalline structure belonging to a layered structure and has a composition represented by the following formula (I): Li[Li<SB>z/(2+z)</SB>ä(Li<SB>x</SB>Ni<SB>(1-3x)/2</SB>Mn<SB>(1+x)/2</SB>)<SB>(1-y)</SB>Co<SB>y</SB>}<SB>2/(2+z)</SB>]O<SB>2</SB>, where 0.01≤x≤0.15, 0≤y≤0.35 and 0.02(1-y)(1-3x)≤z≤0.15(1-y)(1-3x). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
