<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating a key of which an original communication function can be used for generating key information and the key information can be generated regardless of whether or not devices are stationary or move. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the method for generating the key, a digital modulation signal having the same carrier frequency is transmitted and received between two wireless communication devices. Each wireless communication device performs quadrature demodulation of the digital modulation signal, extracts constellation feature information according to the result of quadrature demodulation, and generates key information to be used for encryption based on the extracted constellation feature information.
