<p>An object detecting device that is capable of reducing the effect of error that is attributable to a time lag between a detection result using radar and a detection result using image processing and that can improve object detection accuracy. An object detecting unit (10) of the object detecting device (1) has an image portion search means (22) that finds image data captured by an image pickup unit (12) with reference to detection point data detected by a radar detecting unit (14) in order to detect an image portion that corresponds to an object to be detected, a detection point extraction means (24) that extracts detection point data corresponding to the object to be detected from the detection point data detected by the radar detecting unit (14), and an image portion correcting means (26) that corrects the position of the image portion detected by the image portion search means (22) in accordance with the detection point data extracted by the detection point extraction means (24).</p> |
