The method involves machine cutting of a carrier plate (2) made of wood or wood substitute element. A machine edge processing is implemented under fitting of an edge foil (6) that covers an edge (5) such that the edge foil and a protrusion unit (7) of an upper side (4) of the carrier plate protrude a machine processing glass plate (10) e.g. crushed glass plate, in a holding manner. The edge foil terminates with a lower side (3) of the carrier plate and is attached with the lower side in a circular manner as a single piece, where the sides of the carrier plate are designed as visible sides. The wood substitute element are provided as flake board, core-board and fiber board.
