PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for freely controlling hydrophilic property and hydrophobic property of the surface of a synthetic resin molded article in the synthetic resin molded article having an integral structure using a same synthetic resin material. SOLUTION: The method for controlling hydrophilic property and hydrophobic property of the surface of the synthetic resin molded article comprises: the first step of fixing a polymerizable surfactant which is injected into the synthetic resin molded article or is made to be present on the surface of the synthetic resin molded article by being subjected to polymerization in a synthetic resin constituting the synthetic resin molded article or graft polymerization on the surface; and the second step of holding the fixed synthetic resin molded article in certain atmosphere for certain time, the polymerizable surfactant being selected from compounds represented by the following formula: R1C(=O)O(C2H4O)k(C3H6O)m(C=O)nR2.
