The machine has a machine frame (1), a workpiece headstock (2) and a tailstock (5) for clamping a workpiece (4). Two grinding units (14, 14') comprise spindles (12, 12') that support grinding disks (13, 13') for grinding the workpiece. The grinding units are movably arranged at the machine frame in a direction of carriages (6, 6'). Measuring devices (24, 24') determine dimensions of the workpiece. The measuring devices are movable with one of the grinding units by one of the carriages. A loading and unloading device (11) is movable with the other grinding unit by the other carriage.
