<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply a power supply device capable of stopping high voltage output without enlarging the device, upon abnormal conditions of the high voltage output. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply device 40 includes: first low-voltage output means (D1 and C2) generating and outputting a first voltage (DC24 V) on the secondary side of a first converter transformer T1; a first control means 61 controlling the conductive state of the transformer T1 on the primary side of the transformer T1; and a stopping means PC1 stopping the operation of the first control means 61 on the basis of a first voltage. The power supply device 40 further includes: a high-voltage output means 72 generating and outputting the high voltage higher than the first voltage by using the first voltage; a high-voltage control means 71 controlling the high-voltage output means 72 on the basis of the high voltage; and abnormal condition detecting means (71 and 73) detecting the abnormal conditions of the high voltage.
