PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent color shift caused by tolerance deviation of oscillating frequency existing in an oscillation circuit, using a high-speed and simple circuit configuration. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus, including the oscillation circuit which supplies a clock signal to an arithmetic circuit that generates a control clock signal for controlling the drive part for each arithmetic circuit individually includes: a reference oscillation circuit which generates a reference clock signal, having an n-fold (n is an integer≥1) cycle of the cycle of the control clock signal; and a frequency counter which is provided to each arithmetic circuit individually, and sets the reference clock signal as a clock to be measured, and the clock signal supplied from the oscillation circuit as a measuring clock. Each of the arithmetic circuit generates the control clock signal, by correcting the frequency deviation of the clock signal, supplied from the oscillation circuit corresponding to itself relative to the reference clock signal, based on the counted value of the frequency counter corresponding to itself.
