<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit for an air conditioner, sufficiently releasing heat of a control board with a simple structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The outdoor unit is equipped with a partition plate 40 raised up from a bottom plate in the internal space of a casing 20 to define a heat exchange chamber 31 and a machine chamber 32, the mechanical chamber side surface of an upper partition plate in an upper part of the partition plate including an electric part mounting surface 41a, and this part has an electric part mounting structure in which a control board 110 mounted with electric parts is mounted, and its outer circumferential surface is covered with a board cover 120. The upper partition plate 41 includes an air inlet port 140 for air from the heat exchange chamber, and an air outlet port 141 formed on one outside end of the board cover and on the other outside end of the board cover, respectively. The outdoor unit is further includes a duct plate 150 which covers the outside surface of the substrate cover with a space so as to connect the air inlet port to the air discharge port, thereby forming a duct part 150a for sending air flowing in through the air inlet port to the air outlet port through the outside of the cover.
