SOLUTION: This data storage device (100) includes: a lamination having at least one memory layer (106), the memory layer having a plurality parts in which data are stored by changing the physicochemical identity of a substance forming the plurality of parts while a current flows through the plurality of parts; and a plurality of photoconductivity columns (110) which are arranged within the lamination and penetrate each layer in the lamination.
