<p>An electronic document reading device, the device having a front, display surface 12 and a device rear surface 14. The device includes a connector 604, such as a USB connector, mounted on an edge of the device and has a back panel 600 with an exterior surface 600a to provide said rear surface 14 and an interior surface 600b. The back panel 600 may be made of plastic and is substantially transparent, while the interior surface 600b of the back panel 600 is substantially opaque. The back panel 600 has a cut-out for the connector 604 such that a rear surface 14 of the connector 604 is substantially flush with the device rear surface 14 provided by the exterior of the transparent back panel 600, giving the impression of a device thinner than the actual physical thickness of the device. The device preferably comprises an electrophoretic display 104 and a UV filter 102.</p> |
